"The Story Of Love" Story
Omid Sayareh's opus, "The Story of Love," is a poem symphony for Guitar, Flute, and Symphonic Orchestra, inspired by Nizami Ganjavi's timeless tale of Leily and Majnoun. This musical work, meticulously crafted over two years from 1994 to 1995, encapsulates the essence of love and longing.
In 1996, Sayareh recorded this 40-minute poetic symphony. Babak Amini on Guitar, Asal Hanchi on Flute, and Amir Bakan on samplers breathed life into the soloist roles, adding depth and emotion to the melodic narrative.
Following his relocation to the USA, Omid embarked on a journey to refine his magnum opus. Between 2014 and 2015, he dedicated himself to its reimagining. Despite initial momentum, various circumstances halted the rewriting process until 2023 when Omid reignited his passion for the project.
With renewed vigor, Omid resumed his creative endeavor, aiming for completion by 2025. This expanded rendition of "The Story of Love" promises an immersive experience, spanning nearly 65 minutes of musical brilliance.
Designed and orchestrated for a grand ensemble of actors and dancers, this symphony transcends the boundaries of conventional performance art, offering a profound exploration of love's complexities and nuances. Omid Sayareh's vision, coupled with the talents of the performers, ensures an unforgettable artistic journey for all who experience it.
